EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE 1969 TUCSON TOROS BASEBALL PROGRAM. CHICAGO WHITE SOX AFFILIATE. AAA MINOR LEAGUE TEAM IN THE PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE. UNSCORED.
Hiram "Hi" Corbett, a former Arizona State Senator, helped to bring the Pacific Coast League to Tucson, and in recognition, the Randolph Municipal Baseball Park in Tucson was eventually renamed Hi Corbett Field. The Tucson Toros began play in 1969.  The name Toros was suggested by name-the-team contest winner Clarence Dupnik, who went on to become the Sheriff of Pima County, Arizona.
From 1969 through 1972, the Tucson Toros were the Triple-A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
The Program is in excellent condition for its age with very, very slight wear and very slight creasing (see pictures).  It measures approximately 8 1/4" x 11" and contains approximately 17 pages.
This is a real piece of the Tucson Toros and Minor League History.
What a wonderful piece of Baseball history this is. It would make a wonderful addition to any Baseball collection or your Tucson Toros collection or your Minor League collection.
