This auction is for a generous, 14" serving platter by Rae Dunn for Magenta's Artisan Collection. The front illustration is a colorful, decorated Christmas tree and presents with crisp, black text that reads, "Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree"

Rae Dunn, a California native, works in the San Francisco Bay Area as an accomplished ceramicist, painter, and author with international fame. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Design and worked in graphics and fashion design. In 1994 she began working in clay applying the aesthetic of wabi sabi, irregular shapes that beg to be touched, and simple, natural designs. Condition:
Excellent, pre-owned, never used condition - no chips, cracks or crazing. There is a little shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim and edges. Comes as found and as is. Cleaning will be left to the winner. Any other irregularities in shape, surface roughness, or glaze, or any fleabites, etc. are from the manufacturing process. Most of our items are estate finds and are in good to excellent used condition. Vintage, pre-owned items will not usually be in mint condition, but may show signs of age, use, or wear from being pre-owned and loved for many years. We try to describe any and all condition issues, but may miss some. A defect not noted does not constitute an item "not as described."
