Handmade Woven Painted Guatemalen Peruvian Marriage Couple Worry Dolls Lot of 10

Description

Amazing handmade and painted dolls.  Each couple has different colored outfits.  The wire legs and arms have been wrapped with yarn/thread and the faces are handpainted.  I don't know what the heads are made from but they are a hard material.  All have hats and a safety pin on the back.  The pins work.  There's a bit of staining on some of the back of the hats and a bit of rust on some pins but all-in-all they're in good condition and useable.
I learned in research that these Guatemalen/Peruvian dolls are called "Worry Dolls" or "Marriage Worry Dolls".  It is worn at night and the person wearing it tells it their worries and troubles so that when you awaken the next day, the dolls have taken the worries away.
Each doll measures approx. 1 1/4".
