Lovely pair of antique dolls - Doll in pants has retained the original manufacturing tag (see closeup photo). Dolls believed to be made in Russia or the Ukraine, but we're not really sure. The other doll is missing her tag.
Dolls are made of cloth, with beautifully painted facial features (stockinette) and wear their original (non-removable) regional outfits. They are not jointed (designed to pose in standing position only). They don't really stand on their own (need doll stands - which aren't included).
Measurements:
Doll in red skirt is approximately 14 inches.
Doll in pants is approximately 15 inches.
Condition:
Dolls and their outfits in sound basic condition, but considering their age. are not perfect, and are somewhat delicate, thus sold "as is".
Both dolls exhibit age wear, color fading, soiling / stains or discoloration in some areas. Shoes on the doll in red skirt - She's partly missing her left shoe. Please note that shoes on both dolls are fragile, as they look to be made of wicker. Doll in red skirt has a small tear in her forehead. Doll in pants has a very frail old rubber band holding his various accessories to him. There are also loose hanging threads on both dolls / outfits and there may be some fraying here and there. Also, there are some areas on dolls / outfits that have more obvious hand stitching. There's also "tea" coloring from age on both dolls / outfits. Mfg tag on doll in pants is very faded, but still readable. No perfume, air freshener or smoke scents to dolls / outfits, there is a faint age scent.
Listing for 2 dressed dolls only - No stands, mfg box / packaging or other items included.
